The Plantronics Audio 400 DSP is an excellent compact, light-weight headset which you can carry around with you wherever you go. You will hardly notice that you are wearing them because they don't clamp hard either. Their support is mainly on the frame which rests on your head. The problem to this though is that because they don't hold firmly, when trying to pull down the microphone to use, you will need to hold the headset down or you'll pull your headset down along with the microphone.

There isn't much in terms of boasted features on this pair, it's main purpose is its portibility and convenience.
Being able to connect via USB (which enables the use of the Plantronics PerSono Audio Control Center) or the audio jack makes finding a port to connect to a breeze. The long cord is also great if you're connect it behind the computer.
The irony is that because the cord is long, although they can be packed into a smaller size to store away, you'll still have to wind up the cable a fair bit, which can get messy.

The headset brought clear sound all over, but it was average overall. The bass would sometimes sound powerful for some music, but fair in others. The stereo however was quite clear, but you would find the faintest of distortions in sound at times.
But for a small headset like these, putting up the volume on maximum wasn't a problem; the sound was still very clear.
The noise cancelling feature of the microphone provided good fidelity and I didn't sound too funny listening to myself.

If you're after a small pair of headsets that provides decent bang for buck, then the .Audio 400 DSP will do you justice. Foldable and easily carried around, if you need to bring a quick headset over somewhere, this makes a great travel companion.
*One final upset is that the Australian release does not support PerSono, so not audio boost there. If it did, it would have probably helped witht he bass.
