The i-Station7 is a feature packed speaker system for Docking & Sound, the i-Station7 enables users to listen, sync and recharge their iPod in one, stylish and ultra compact unit. The system boasts the added convenience of an IR remote control, allowing you to manage the functions of i-Station7 and extended functions of the docked iPod wirelessly.
The i-Station7 produces hi-fi quality sound from the combination of a sub-woofer; two dynamic tweeter speakers and 3D surround sound processor. The compact portable unit measures only 137 x 195 x 40mm and can be powered by AC Mains (supplied) or 4 x AA batteries.
Connecting an iPod to i-Station7 is easy, simply place your iPod into the universal dock and you're set to go. The dock is compatible with all iPod's that have a dock connector. Whilst the iPod is docked to i-Station7 the iPod battery will automatically charge (using AC power), so there's no need to worry about battery level, just enjoy the music.
Your iPod can be synchronized through the i-Station7 with a PC or Mac using its dock connector port. The i-Station7 can also be used as an external speaker system with other audio devices such as iPod shuffle, MP3's, MiniDisc, CD players or even a PC, laptop or Mac. The i-Station7 is a truly multi-functional speaker/docking system with a universal dock for iPod.

The Logic3 i-Station7 is definitely a light, simple, iPod speaker great for travelling around with whether inside a building with a power outlet, or outside with batteries.
Unfortunately I did not have any available batteries so this will be excluded from my review, but from another review, they mentioned that the battery life is quite fair and recommended rechargeable batteries, although the speakers do not charge these batteries however.
The i-Station7 comes with a clear cover to protect the speakers when not in use which can easily be pulled off. You put down the middle sub woofer and dock in your iPod. The clear cover can also be inserted back around the speakers and be used as a back stand for your iPod or MP3 device being used via the 3.5mm ports.
Once everything is connected, the remote gives you all the functions you need to skip tracks, forward and rewind, play and pause, volume, and 3D mode. There are buttons to skip through albums which I could not get working, whether it is my iPod Mini or just the lack of proper functionality; it would only go back and forth tracks within an album rather than going through albums.
For the size of the speakers, the fidelity is quite good in what it can produce on medium volume but on higher volumes, certain mid tones can distort. The two main songs I like to use are Neyo – Closer and Sam Sparro – Black and Gold, and a mix of everything else. The bass is powerful and smooth, but not deep, and the high tones don’t come out well and sound a little muddy. Using 3D mode helps solve this issue making the high tones louder than the bass but will make mid to high tones more prone to distortion also. Overall, using the 3D mode will give a better experience by giving your music a slightly wider range of sound but I found that some higher tones would echo slightly.
You can connect your iPod cable to the back of the speakers to sync your iPod with your computer, and if you have another MP3 player somewhere, you can connect that to the AUX port in the back and still play music from it while you’re syncing your iPod to your computer.
Overall, the simple speakers and controls make this a great travel companion. It has enough power and clarity to entertain a small room, or even when you want to let your music out while on the streets. The quality is sure to surprise, but may not satisfy everyone but if you’re not a heavy audiophile, at the price of the Logic3 i-Station7, it’s a steal.
