Summer here in Australia gets hot; especially in my room.
My room is the hottest place in the house whether the computer is on or not. Where the outside temperature is 35 degrees, my room will be 40.
With no central air con or any fans to stick in my room (no space and inconvenient), I needed something, and that's when I found a mini fan.

So does this fan do the job? Unfortunately not. But it gives a good try at it.

It doesn't have the coolness of an air con, but the warm current you get from big fans, just in a small area.
However, as long as it is close enough to you, it'll provide some breeze.
It only blows in the direction you point it but I found it blowing against my chest and face was enough.

I found the cable short because I have to put it behind the desk to the computer at the bottom, which takes up the length. Otherwise, if you have any hubs for easier access, than the cable is long enough.
I didn't like how the switch was on the cable rather than the base of the fan. Being on the cable, although not far from the base, it wouldn't be as easy to access as the base. Not a big problem, but base would have been better design choice.

As the package says, the fan is quiet. But you'll have a slight hum.

Understandably, the fan needs some juice to run, but it could definitely have been designed to hold enough battery power and without altering its size much, so if you need something portable also, make sure you have a open powered USB port.

All in all, you can't expect a lot for a small fan compared to the larger ones that cover more area which are stronger also.
It would have been nice if it was a little stronger, but at least when my room is 40 degrees, I only feel 38. It's something.
