On Wednesday we went skiing and it was great fun and exercise.

When I went for my first time in Melbourne, I could only go straight and fall to stop. Now I can turn and slow down to a stop!

We went to Brighton to do our skiing as it was cheaper to do the basic courses as we were all beginners.

We go there and prepared our ski equipment and tags.

Preperation

Before we started to ski, Elder Tuckett gave us a quick lesson on slowing down, stopping, and turning. Throughout the lesson, he had apparently taught us the wrong way of turning and we didn't know until we started of unto the basic courses.

Lessons

On the basic course, it is a slope long enough for us to practice our turning and stopping which we went around a few times.
I fell over a couple of times and Villy also fell over; especially on the last run down before lunch he couldn't turn or stop on time and fell into a small ditch. Luckily he didn't hit the tree though.

Crash

We got back to the truck to have our lunch. Villy fooled Jenny in believing he was eating shreded horse meat and how his family likes horse meat also. It was only beef.

Lunch

Once we finished, it was up up and away onto a more intermediate course. We mainly ran down Lost Maid and we were lost towards the end, not knowing where the exit was and decided to take another route to a slightly more difficult course which safely exits to the car park if you miss the exit turn to the lifts again.

Lifts

Overall, it was great fun. Unfortunately Villy crashed again and was out of action for half the day.
At one stage, I decided to go straight down the slope without realising it was the freestyle slope. I was speeding down way too fast to fully control my turns but managed. Unfortunately, I didn't see the snowboarder to my right and neither did he see me and we swirved right into each other. Thankfully nobody was injured; just the ski pole.
